Add people and give each one tags such as young, old or has car. Create your own tags. Paste a list of names to import them in one go.
Link two people as partners: they always end up in the same group and count as one unit when preparation turns are assigned.
Choose how many groups or how many people per group. Add rules: at least or at most N people with a tag per group, balance a tag across groups, a couple in every group, keep people together or apart. Mark each rule as a must (hard) or a preference (soft).
If the rules cannot be satisfied, the app tells you which rule fails and by how much, and offers to relax it. It never claims a group set is impossible when it simply ran out of search time.
Plan sessions over dates and let the app propose who prepares in each group, spreading turns fairly and starting with whoever prepared least recently.
Across successive groupings, the app tries to avoid putting the same people together again.
Not happy with a result? Re-roll it, lock people in place or move them between groups, and see rule violations highlighted live.
Run different groupings in parallel. People already busy in another grouping in the same period are left out automatically.
Share a grouping as text or CSV. Back up and restore your whole list as a file.
Send a grouping straight to WhatsApp in the message format communities write by hand: one numbered line per group, couples written together, an optional note and who prepares in each group.

GiroGruppi works offline for everything it does: no account needed. Your groups and people stay on your device. The app shows one banner ad from Google AdMob (non-personalized ads; in the EEA, UK and Switzerland you choose through Google's consent form). Ads need an internet connection, and the AdMob SDK sends data such as IP address, approximate location, ad interactions, diagnostics and the advertising ID to Google.
